We're Calling for 5,000,000 Committed Humans to Safeguard Earth’s Future!
Earth now needs at least 5,000,000 people, to work together with a clear focus on taking responsibility as rescue team members for humankind’s future. Direct and concerted action is required to safeguard this planet’s threatened fragile eco-systems. The Earth is already beginning to suffer from a variety of global disasters. These include the global financial crisis, the impact of viral pandemics and substantially increased volcanic activity with associated tsunamis.
If this world is to survive and thrive, then human beings need to evolve new social structures, so that harmonious co-existence becomes a reality. The Shen Foundation supports the establishment of new models of community, such as those seen in the Transition Town and Eco-Village movements, which are now beginning to lead the way with the best sustainability practices.
We aim to establish these eco-communities in carefully chosen, healthy environments.
Also crucial is the rapid development of clean, advanced and efficient technology. We aim to use this wisely, to benefit our work.
In order to efficiently develop and promote high technology eco-communities all over the world, we are calling for experts with technical experience and management skills to help us.
Experts in management and construction, who have skills and experience, to contribute their knowledge and ability in the service of helping to build these communities.
Experts in the areas of social enterprise and eco-community design.
We offer continual training and mentoring to ‘society community workers’, who will each support the five million people comprising rescue teams around the world.
Rescue teams will be assisted by a global network, which is being set up within and between eco-communities.
Eco-community training will be geared to the management of natural and man-made disasters, with the provision of relief centres. Our priority is to safeguard the existence of the human species while preparing for the next phase of earth’s existence.
The work of these communities includes a range of social enterprises, healthcare and prevention of disease, security protection, and to provide emergency reserves of water, electricity and food. Social culture will be maintained through education and by means of family and neighbourhood support systems.
The foundation of eco-community training will involve the guidance of human beings in how to live harmoniously together, in fostering compassion, and in giving both emotional and practical support to each other in the time of crisis.
